Medical Note for SAIT Students
SAIT (Southern Alberta Institute of Technology) serves over 13,000 students at its Main Campus and Art Smith Aero Centre in Calgary. SAIT's hands-on programs in trades, technology, and health sciences mean students frequently need documentation for missed practical assessments, shop time, and lab work — not just written exams. SAIT's specific Physician Statement Form requirement makes timely physician access critical. Accepted for exam deferrals, assignment extensions, and academic accommodations. CPSA-registered physician. Same-day delivery. $49 flat fee.
SAIT Exam Deferral Policy
SAIT has a specific Physician Statement Form that students must present to their academic chair or coordinator. This form is required for deferred exams, deferred term work, or any other deferred gradeable component. Download the form from SAIT's website, have it completed by a physician, and submit it to your program.
Deadline: Contact your academic chair or coordinator as soon as possible. Submit the completed Physician Statement Form promptly — most programs expect it within 2-3 business days of the missed assessment.
Documentation: SAIT requires its own Physician Statement Form completed by a licensed physician. This is a specific SAIT form (not just a generic sick note) that asks the physician to confirm the student's inability to complete the assessment. A MedLetter physician can complete this form or provide an equivalent official letter.
