Medical Note for University of Calgary Students
The University of Calgary serves over 35,000 students across five campuses including Main Campus, Foothills, and Downtown. During exam season, UCalgary Student Wellness Services experiences significant wait times, often 2-5 business days for appointments. Many U of C students — especially those in Schulich Engineering, Haskayne Business, and Cumming Medicine — face tight deferral deadlines that require same-day documentation. Accepted for exam deferrals, assignment extensions, and academic accommodations. CPSA-registered physician. Same-day delivery. $49 flat fee.
U of C Exam Deferral Policy
Students apply for a deferred final exam through their Student Centre portal. Applications are submitted online with supporting documentation uploaded directly. The Office of the Registrar reviews all applications in the order received, typically within 3-5 business days.
Deadline: Applications must be submitted on the day of the scheduled final exam or up to two business days after the exam date. Late applications are not accepted.
Documentation: For illness-based deferrals, the University of Calgary requires supporting documentation under Section M.1 of the academic calendar. A Student Declaration of Absence web form is available as an alternative. A physician's letter confirming illness on the exam date significantly strengthens your application.
