Online Sick Note Ontario — Physician-Reviewed, Same Day
MedLetter connects Ontario patients with CPSO-registered physicians for same-day medical documentation. Every request is individually reviewed by a licensed physician and issued only when clinically appropriate. We are not a note mill — we are a legitimate telehealth documentation service.
How It Works
Step 1: Submit Your Secure Request - Complete a brief clinical intake form describing your symptoms, dates of absence, and documentation needs. Your information is encrypted and confidential.
Step 2: Physician Review - A CPSO-registered physician reviews your request. If clinically appropriate, your letter is prepared. If additional information is needed, you may be asked to complete a brief audio or video assessment.
Step 3: Receive Your Documentation - Your signed medical letter is delivered to your email as a secure PDF. Most letters are delivered within 6 hours.

FAQ
Is an online sick note from MedLetter valid in Ontario?
Yes. The College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario (CPSO) recognizes virtual care as a legitimate form of medical consultation. Documentation from a CPSO-registered physician is valid regardless of whether the consultation was in-person or virtual.
Will my employer accept this?
Ontario employers are legally required to accept medical documentation from any CPSO-registered physician. They cannot require you to see a specific doctor or attend a specific clinic.
Do I need to see a doctor on video?
Most requests are reviewed based on your clinical intake form. However, if a physician requires additional information to make a clinical determination, you may be asked to complete a brief audio or video assessment.
What if the physician determines a letter is not appropriate?
If a physician determines that documentation is not clinically appropriate based on your submission, you will receive a full refund. We do not issue documentation that is not medically justified.
How quickly will I receive my sick note?
Most requests are reviewed and delivered within 6 hours, typically within 2-4 hours. Evening and weekend submissions are processed within 4-8 hours.
Is my information confidential?
Yes. All submissions are encrypted and handled in accordance with Ontario privacy legislation (PHIPA). Your medical information is never shared with your employer.
Can I request documentation for dates I was already sick?
Yes. Physicians can provide documentation for recent illness based on your reported symptoms. The physician will determine clinical appropriateness based on your submission.
Does OHIP cover sick notes?
No. Sick notes are classified as uninsured services in Ontario. OHIP does not cover the cost of medical documentation for employment purposes.
